More on Searching with Subject Headings
Subject search - a search for major headings that contain your search words. Subject searches are best used for simple topics where the subject is obvious--a person, place, or thing.
If you use a sorted subject guide
(like Yahooligans!) to search for a site on the topic "Flags and Maps of the World," you'll need to click through a series of categories looking something like:
School Bell >
Social Studies >
Flags >
Flags and Maps of the World.
(As each link is clicked
>, the next link with become active. When you get to "Flags and Maps of the World," it will go to a sample page.)
That's a lot of clicking to get to the page you want!
